Prayer Letter - June 2008
Santuario Familiar Bautista in Managua celebrated the 5th anniversary 01' the church on May 18. One Of the testimonies shared was by don Francisco Flores. He came in the very first campaign because his four year old son was excited about the children's ministry. He kept coming for his son and accepted Christ as his Savior. Through the years, don Francisco has become a leader within the men of the church. He is head usher, leads up Impacto - a soul wining visitation program, and is an avid discipler. A passionate student of the Word, don Francisco has been instrumental in leading many to the Lord and encouraging other men to become involved in God's work.  He has preached in many of our churches and looks forward to many more years serving the Lord. And his son? Cesar is a leader among the children, one Of the best at memory work in Oanso (Awana), already finishing one book and working on the next. Thank God for "a little child" who has a real impact on the work in Managua.

May has been a busy month at Santuario Farmiliar Bautista in Masaya. They celebrated their 3rd anniversary in the building along the Masaya Highway and the 15th birthday of Pastor Gustavo Gaitan's daughter, Raquel, on the 11th. May 25th was the celebration for Mother's Day with 15 proud mothers surrounded by their families. The ladies and men's groups had a competition to see who could have the highest attendance and the winner would serve up a delicious Nica style dinner. The ladies met the 27th with a bi~ to-do for mothers and daughters. With rainy season beginning, we were excited fo have our high attendance or 21 with 3 ladies for the first time! The men met Thursday with a category I hurricane hitting~ the west coast and the city of Leon. They went out hnd "forced" them to come in. Although there looked like no hope, the men came through and won with 29, which is their best attendance as well, and many visitors. The last day of May brought out some of the best news or the month - 3 teens accepted Christ in youth group!
